E-mail Request - Links throughout our site provide you with the opportunity to contact us via e-mail to ask questions, request information and materials, or provide comments and suggestions. You may also be offered the opportunity to have one of our Sales Representatives contact you personally to provide additional information about our products or services. To do so, we may request additional personal information from you, such as your name and telephone number, to help us satisfy your request.
Enrollment - You may choose to enroll for one of our products or services where we will request certain information from you. Depending on the type of product or service that you request, you may be asked to provide different personal information. For certain products and services, we may require your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and credit card number. Other products and services may require different or supplemental information from you in order to apply.
We request information from the user on our order form. Here a user must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer's orders. Upon ordering our site will automatically send out a confirmation email and our accounting department will subsequently email an invoice. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user. Upon completion of an order all credit card information is deleted from our database. Third Party Information
We request information from the user when ordering a gift certificate for a third party (the gift certificate recipient). Here a user must provide contact information for the third party to allow fulfillment of the certificate. This information is not used for any purpose other than for the purpose that it is collected. Upon redemption of the certificate our site will automatically send out a confirmation email and our accounting department will subsequently email an acknowledgement. The third party may then contact email@example.com to request the removal of contact information from our database.
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. This web site takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the web site, your information is protected both online and offline.
When our order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the Security Status bar located at the top of most web browsers such as Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firebox will highlight green, as opposed to white or transparent, when you are just browsing.
While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information offline. All of our users' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices.
